Therapy for Men
And Those Who Love Them.
A Space for Men Who Feel Stuck, Frustrated, Exhausted.
Many men carry questions, doubts and pain quietly. Anger is what finally brings them to therapy. Whether it shows up as irritation, frustration, or outbursts you don’t understand, anger is often a signal that something deeper is seeking for attention. Together, we’ll explore what lies beneath — pain, old patterns, questions about meaning, feeling trapped — and find new ways to live with clarity and courage.
I specialize in working with men who are reluctant to try therapy—
yet ready to become less a stranger to themselves.
TODD JAMES “TJ” MCKILLOP
People have always captivated me.
I’ve always found myself drawn to people’s stories—listening, reflecting and cultivating spaces where others could see themselves more clearly.
Now, with over ten years of experience providing individual and group therapy, I specialize in working with men — especially those who may feel reluctant to seek support.
You may be navigating midlife questions, unsure of next steps or learning how to engage with uncertainty and mysteries in life. Anger is often the entry point. Together, we’ll explore what it’s connected to — whether it’s pain, strained relationships, or the longing for a deeper sense of meaning.

OFFERINGS
WALK + TALK THERAPY
Currently this offering is on pause as my practice is fully online at this time.
However, many people will walk while we meet to benefit from movement and the outdoors, which can open space to more easily reflect and talk about what matters.
INDIVIDUAL + COUPLES COUNSELING
I am currently meeting only online with anyone living in California, for 50-minute sessions.
Who I work with:
Men in their 20’s and beyond, especially midlife.
Men feeling stuck, frustrated or unsettled.
Men searching for meaning after success.
Couples managing conflict and disconnection.
Our Work Together
Often, our distress is connected to old wounds, unspoken grief, or questions about meaning and identity. By listening closely, we can uncover what the distress is pointing toward — and create new ways of engaging with yourself and others.
In our sessions we will aim to:
Seek to understand the patterns driving your frustration and discontentment.
Explore relationships and communication with more clarity.
Investigate sensations, thoughts, and emotions.
Discover new ways of being that open space for connection, purpose, and courage.
