I Help Men Become Less a Stranger to Themselves
People have always captivated me. I’ve always found myself drawn to people’s stories—listening, reflecting and cultivating spaces where others could see themselves more clearly.
After receiving my BA in Sociology at Westmont College, I worked for many years as a journeyman carpenter, with stints volunteering in Northern Ireland, traveling throughout Central America, working as a collegiate soccer coach and guiding wilderness trips before I found my way to graduate school to receive my Master of Social Work degree.
I have worked in a variety of settings, including a county jail, an inpatient hospital and over five years overseeing a mental health project at a youth center. Now in private practice I work as a therapist with men and couples encouraging us all to face and learn from our anger, discord and disappointment so as to cultivate the freedom to live more courageously into what matters.
I am a father, husband, son of teachers and coaches, lover of the outdoors, woodworker, asker of questions broad and deep, former collegiate athlete now committed to coaching youth sports, and someone constantly learning from my own anger, disappointment, grief and the humbling lessons of everyday life.
